The NTBA is a not-for-profit association that supports and promotes bridge in the Northern Territory on behalf of its members - the four affiliated NT bridge clubs.
The affiliated clubs direct the association through their membership of Council, which generally meets twice yearly. Day-to-day affairs are dealt with by a Management Committee.
The Association's policy is not to compete with its member clubs - rather it supports beginner and other lessons and offers supervised play to facilitate transition of novices to club play.
Through its Tournament Committee, it organises Championship-level competitions open to all NT playing members (and visitors). It also convenes (on behalf of the Australian Bridge Federation) the annual Territory Gold Bridge Festival, held alternately in Darwin and Alice Springs.
Further information is available on the membership of Council, the Management Committee and the Tournament Committee, while you can also download a copy of the NTBA Constitution.
The ABF is the peak body for the administration of the sport of bridge in Australia. It is a non-profit organisation and its headquarters are located in Canberra. The ABF has a membership of approximately 35,000 and there are nearly 330 affiliated clubs throughout Australia.
